Before You Choose a Boat, Choose the Life You Want.
The boating journey doesn’t begin with horsepower, price, or even a boat.
It begins with a picture.
Picture yourself watching the sun disappear over calm water. Imagine your grandchildren laughing as they jump off the swim platform. Maybe it’s fishing at sunrise. Maybe it’s beaching with friends. Maybe it’s simply escaping the noise of everyday life.
That was one of the biggest themes during the first episode of The Next Boat Journey.
When asked what his ideal day on the water looked like, Franklin didn’t start by describing a boat.
He described experiences.
Sometimes it’s preparing for a family beach day.
Sometimes it’s introducing clients to boating.
Sometimes it’s simply dropping anchor and watching the sunset.
The boat was simply the vehicle.
John’s story reinforced the same idea.
His boating journey began more than 55 years ago when his father’s friend loaned them a small outboard boat. They camped on islands and spent weekends on the water. Today he owns multiple boats, but the feeling remains exactly the same.
The reason I want to spend time on the water is… it takes me to another place.
That may be the most important question anyone considering boating should ask.
Not…
What boat should I buy?
Instead ask…
What kind of life do I want to live on the water?
Because once that picture becomes clear…
Everything else becomes much easier.
