Use your boatHow many people are actually living the boating lifestyle? The Next Boat Journey QuestionWhere the music meets the waterLiving the Boating Lifestyle Starts With Using Your Boat
Chris Workman has one simple piece of advice for new boat owners:
Use your boat
Don't become so worried about scratching it, docking perfectly or looking inexperienced at the boat ramp that the boat spends more time sitting in the driveway than creating memories.
A scratch can be repaired.
A missed Saturday on the water can't be recreated.
Chris believes there's an important difference between owning a boat and experiencing boating.
The boat is the vehicle.
The real value is everything that happens because you have it—the afternoons with family, fishing trips with friends, sunset cruises and stories you'll tell years later.
That raises an interesting question for the entire marine industry.
Maybe success shouldn't only be measured by how many people buy boats.
Maybe we should also be asking:
How many people are actually living the boating lifestyle?
Because the more someone experiences boating, the more likely it becomes part of who they are.
